Postdoctoral Researchers

The Rosales group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work at the interface of soft materials and cell biology. The researcher will work on synthetic extracellular matrices for applications in injectable delivery vehicles, tissue engineering, and/or biosensing materials. This position is for an initial one-year appointment and has the potential to be renewed for additional years.

Applicants with experience in some combination of the following areas are preferred: (1) mammalian cell culture, (2) molecular biology techniques (e.g., qRT-PCR, Western blotting), (3) hydrogel synthesis and characterization, (4) small animal models, (5) analytical and quantitative microscopy, and (6) cell phenotyping.

In addition to advancing our funded projects, the postdoctoral researcher will be encouraged to pursue their own research interests, apply for grants and fellowships, and take advantage of professional development opportunities. Our group welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, especially groups that have been historically underrepresented in science and engineering, and we strive to provide an inclusive, welcoming, and equitable environment for all.

Interested applicants should email Prof. Rosales (arosales [at] che.utexas.edu) with their CV, references, and a cover letter describing their research experience/interests, career goals, and preferred start date. The position is available immediately and review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
